Dr. Noémie Le Pertel
Founder of Empowered Wellness and the Center for Positive Leadership
Dr. Noémie Le Pertel, DACM, MS, MPH, MAPP, is an integrative clinician in the division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell at Columbia University Medical Center, treating oncology patients, designing and facilitating workshops on mindfulness, burnout, physician and employee wellbeing across NY Presbyterian Hospital. She has conducted social networks research for Harvard Medical School and is currently conducting research on the intersection between organizational health and L&D.
Dr. Le Pertel is the founder of Empowered Wellness and the Center for Positive Leadership, LLC, providing leadership development, executive coaching, wellbeing program design and facilitation. She has been teaching mindfulness in the context of leadership and education since 1998 and has designed programs with organizations such as: Columbia Women in Business, United Nations, Ireland's Health Service Executive, among others.
Dr. Le Pertel holds a Doctorate & Master in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine, a Master in Public Health Policy & Management from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, and a Master in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania under Dr. Martin Seligman, founder of positive psychology. Her thesis: Self-care in Health Care, an evidence-based approach to promoting wellbeing and resilience for stakeholders across systems, was advised by Tom Rath, co-author of StrengthsFinder 2.0. She is currently working on a Doctorate in Education at the University of Pennsylvania's Chief Learning Officer Program.

Nick is passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential. He is inspired by insights from positive- and development psychology, philosophy and the neurosciences. He is an internationally recognized thought leader, adviser, researcher, author, and facilitator on learning and leadership development.
Nick is a partner, Global Chief Learning Officer (CLO), and Client Adviser at McKinsey. Over the course of his professional career, Nick has served more than 100 clients around the world. He is also an adjunct professor at IE University (Spain), Nyenrode Business Universiteit (The Netherlands), and the University of Pennsylvania, where he works with candidates in the executive doctoral program for Chief Learning Officers. Prior to joining McKinsey, he was partner, Global Chief Learning Officer, HR Executive and Director of Human Capital for Deloitte and L&D Consultant and Executive for Siemens.
Nick has written articles for various publications and has been quoted by the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Fortune Magazine, Business Week, India Times, Information Week, Management Consulting, CLO Magazine, and TD Magazine. He has authored and coauthored more than 25 books and numerous articles on innovations in learning and leadership development. His latest book (2018) ‘Elevating Learning & Development: Insights and Practical Guidance from The Field’. Several of his books have been translated in Mandarin, Portuguese and Dutch.
